Chef McBride to showcase recipes at Irish Fair

Posted on 01/25/201911/23/2019 by The Irish Gazette

Chef Eric W. McBride is an Award winning Chef & Author, who specializes in the Cuisine of all eight Celtic Nations (Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Manx, Cornwall, Brittany, Galicia & Asturia).

Chef McBride shows his audiences how various favorite Irish dishes can be found in every one of the Celtic Nations with slight variations. In addition, the chef goes deep into the history, and explains how these dishes evolved and how crops or livestock have actually shaped the course of History. Which explains why Chef McBride calls himself a Historical Chef.

Chef McBride has been a part of the Celtic scene in the U.S. since 1996. Prior to that Chef McBride worked around the world in Scotland, Ireland, England, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa. In 1993 Chef McBride found himself in the front of the House at the Marte ‘d at one of the top 100 restaurants in London, and hosted Princess Ann’s engagement dinner.

Chef McBride is also a trained historian, having attended graduate school in Edinburgh Scotland. It is from here that Chef McBride has been able to carve a niche into the historical world of Celtic cuisine. He truly understands how the cuisine has evolved and how the near lost art of Celtic Pharmacognosy, pertains to Celtic herbs and spices in the dishes he serves.

You can also read about these historical shape changing events in any one of his five Celtic cookbooks, which are available along with his eight different Celtic seasoning blends. Created from traditional recipes used for hundreds of years, and now all but forgotten. Come and see Chef Eric McBride, and taste the way Celtic food was meant to taste.
