Norwegian Air will start flights to Ireland from New York in July

Low cost air carrier Norwegian Air will be starting flights to Ireland from New York in July. Last minute details are still to be worked out. Norwegian will fly first to Cork with Belfast, Shannon and Dublin to be added later. The initial fares will be $69 one way, but will eventually settle in at the $300 roundtrip range. Norwegian will fly from Steward Airport which is 60 miles north of Manhattan and from a smaller airport in the Boston area to be announced soon. Anders Lindstrom, the director of communication for Norwegian Air in the U.S. said “We will be offering the most affordable trans-Atlantic flights Americans have ever had.”
